We are now proud to be offering a great new addition to our Guided trips down the stunning River Suir in the southeast of Ireland.
The trips run between the old Viking city of Waterford to the small fishing village of Cheekpoint in Co. Waterford.
This area is one of the least seen by the average person but we at irish canoe kayak are now giving you the chance to take a break from your normal everyday routine and have a trip which once finished will make you want to explore more of this beautiful region.
The trip starts at the Marina Hotel in Waterford City where you will be introduced to the canoes and the gear and we will show you how to maneouvre the canoe so you can enjoy your time on the water.
Once on the water we will head along the river giving you a guide to some of the wildlife and areas you will be passing through. We will be going around the famous Waterford Castle hotel and golf course where we often see otters and seals basking in the sun on the banks then traveling down to the side of Faithlegg Hotel and Golf course passing belview port and then down to the small village of Cheekpoint.
The trip usually takes between two and two and a half hours.
The trip goes from Waterford to Cheekpoint when the tide is going out and Cheekpoint to Waterford when the tide is coming in you will be advised on booking of the trip.
