Spring is finally here and We have our First introductory/beginners course of the season on the Calender.

Location: River Barrow, Borris, Co. Carlow.
Dates, April 17th and 18th
Times 10am-3pm

This is a two day course giving a very good foundation in the skills needed to get the most out of the kayak and enjoy your time on the river to the full.

Level 3 Open Canoeing Training
Date: 24&25th October 09
Time: Meeting 10:30, Finish 4pm
Location: River Barrow, Graiguenamanagh Co, Kilkenny
and River Nore, Thomas town Co, Kilkenny
Information: This course is aimed at people who wish to advance their Open Canoeing in the best way possible, Irishcanoekayak will work to improve every aspect of your Canoeing from flat water strokes and techniques to white water work and pushing the Canoe to its limits.

Kayaking River Trip
Date: Saturday 24th October 09

Location: River Barrow, Graiguenamanagh Co, Kilkenny
Info: Kayaking River trip for people with experience in Kayaking we will be taking on some Grade 2 white water and working on the skills needed to get your kayak where it needs to be in the ideal surroundings of the river Barrow in Co, Carlow and Co, Kilkenny.

Colligan Gorge Games 2009

Info: The Colligan Gorge Games Is back for 2009 after the major success of last year, Irishcanoekayak are proud to be working with shielbaggan oec again this year to bring the colligan river to life and supply the kayaking community of Ireland with a great day and night out. Beginner’s course: Weekend of 26th and 27th of September 2009

This course is open to anyone who wishes to try kayaking and learn all the basics of kayaking and have some fun along the way.
The course will take place on the river barrow
Meeting in Graiguenamanagh Co, Kilkenny At 10:30 and finishing between 3:30-4pm that after noon.

River trip:

For anyone who has completed one of our beginner’s courses we are offering a number of river trips over the winter months to keep you on the water and improve your kayaking. So keep an eye on the site to find out about up coming days out.

Level 3 Open Canoe Training Day

Meeting in Graiguenamanagh Co, Kilkenny.

National Trails Day: 4th October 2009
We will be running a River trip from Thomas town to Inistioge Co, Kilkenny.
Meeting at Thomas town river side Car park (beside bridge)
Time 11am
This is a free day out on the river but does still have limited number of places for people who have all their own equipment.
We will also have a number of boats available for use to anyone who does not have their own.

Evening kayaking courese are now being booked up these courses usually consist of 5 sessions which are 2 hour in duration each. We will be doing all the level 1 course teaching you how to get the most out of the kayak. After the first night we will be on the move doing some small trips around the area the course is based be it on the river or the sea.
If it is an evening course in Waterford we will begin in the perfect location of Dunmore East learning the basics to get you and the kayak moving as one, Over the 5 sessions we will move around the different locations of the south east seeing as much of the beautyful coastline as possible. In our opinion Waterfords Coastline has some of the nices views in the country and we want to share them with you while you learn.
